William C. "Billy" Bowler Sr, 89 of King George passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Billy was born, lived his entire life and died in Rollins Fork. He worked for 30 years at the FMC plant in Fredericksburg and then was called into the ministry in 1976. He was the founder and Pastor of Good News Tabernacle and served that congregation until his death. He was also a farmer and operated a fruit stand for many years.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Reva Kay Bowler and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Survivors include his children, William C. "Billy Boy" Bowler Jr. (Patty), George M. Bowler (Robin) and Barbara Bridges (Larry); his grandchildren, William C. Bowler III, Peachie Bowler, Andrea Jones, Kimberly Morefield, Stephanie Rummel and Allison Bridges and ten great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the King George chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Saturday, March 10th from 6:00 – 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 11th at 2:00pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church, King George, with burial to follow in Historyland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Evangelist Bobby McGilliard P.O. Box 456 Shelbyville TN 37162, Tabernacle Baptist Church or Mary Washington Hospice.
