Russell "Pops" Harvey, 81 of Ladysmith passed away, August 20, 2018 at his home.

Russell was a long distance truck driver and a cross-country tour bus driver. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a founding member of the Caroline Moose Club. Russell was well known for his benefit barbeques that raised money for various organizations. He loved fishing, raising a large vegetable garden and traveling to Bluegrass festivals. Many will miss Russell.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; his daughter, Beth Haynes (Larry) of Banco, VA; two grandsons, Joshua Dougher (Melissa) of Chesterfield and Skyler Dougher USAF of Saint Angelo TX; three brothers, Charles Waski, Bobby Waski and Mike Waski all of Delaware; three sisters, Shirley McDougal, B.J. Tyron, Sandy Crowe all of Delaware and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 22nd from 7:00 – 9:00pm. A funeral will be held Thursday, August 23rd at 11:00am in Wrights Chapel United Methodist Church, Ladysmith, with burial to follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery.
