Robert Odell Cox Jr., 84 of King George passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at his home. The "King of the Hill" has left us. Robert, who was born on the banks of the Rappahannock River at Hopyard Farm December 6, 1933, served in the United States Army, was a police officer in Maryland and had worked at NSWC Dahlgren for a number of years. He retired as the owner and operator of Cox Construction.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gloria; four children, Robert Odell Cox III (Cindy), Donald Lee Cox (Kelly), Dena Delane Cox and Christopher J. Cox (Kelley); his siblings, Richard, Thomas and Wayne Cox and Bonnie Reynolds; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; all of his cats and his dogs, Yip Yip and Bo Bo.

Robert's request was to be cremated and no funeral service held. Online condolences may be left for the family at
