Robert W. "Dick" Pitts, 93 of Milford passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

Dick served in the United States Navy during WWII and retired after 43 years of service with Rappahannock Electric Cooperative. He was a longtime member of Clifton Hunt Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and gardening. He was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Faye Pitts.

Survivors include his daughters, Brenda Fulford (Lanny) and Linda Phillips (Kevin); five grandchildren, Katie, Lana, Linda, Cliff and Chris; numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was one of 16 children of Harry and Annie Pitts and is survived by three sisters, Ellen Carter, Ruth Pitts and Mabel Weymouth.

A funeral will be held Friday, June 1st at 3:00 pm in the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service. Burial, with Navy honors, will follow in Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery, Shumansville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bowling Green or Sparta Fire Departments.
