Patricia Ann Tuma
October 6, 1947 – August 10, 2018

Patricia A. Tuma, 70 of Colonial Beach, departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, August 10, 2018. She was born in Washington, DC on October 6, 1947.
Pat (Patsy) as she was affectionately called, worked for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon and Andrew's Air Force Base for many years. She was an excellent Administrative Assistant and was awarded for her excellence many times. Pat loved to fish and was an avid fisherman. She also enjoyed camping, attending church, AA meetings, walking on the beach and the "Redskins". She has been sober for many years which she was very proud of, with the help of many of her friends.
She joined St. Anthony Catholic Church in King George many years ago. As her health was failing, she decided to go to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Colonial Beach where she attended until her death. Pat and her family are forever grateful for all the assistance and support the church and congregation provided her during hard times through the years.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents Charles R. and Mary A. Snellings, her brother Michael R. Snellings, nephew Mark Snellings and her favorite aunt and uncle Charles W. and Marjorie E. Heflin.
She leaves to mourn her death, her beloved son and companion Ronald E. Tuma, Jr., a sister Marjorie E. Myers (Samuel), a granddaughter Rochelle Leigh Murdock, two great-great grandsons, two step daughters Denise and Shelly, sister-in-law Brenda Snellings, niece Tracy Snellings, two cousins David Gerlach and Scottie Snellings.
Pat also leaves to cherish her memories Sally Cullen (David) and a special friend Lynn Lincoln. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks goes to neighbors and other friends Jimmy, Bernard, Curtis, Linda and Jim. They helped her with many tasks when she needed them.
A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 11 Irving Ave., Colonial Beach, VA 22443. Burial will follow the service at Historyland Memorial Park, 11227 James Madison Parkway, King George, VA 22485.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Estate of Patricia A. Tuma, 101 10th St., Colonial Beach, VA 22443.
