Norman Norris Lewis, Junior, 75, was born August 8, 1943. He passed peacefully on August 11, 2018 in the presence of his loving family. A lifelong resident of Colonial Beach, VA, he graduated from Colonial Beach High School and went on to work for Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), in Dahlgren, Virginia. He retired after 30 years of service as a Planner and Estimator with the Department of Public Works. Norman also worked as a mechanic at the Colonial Beach Yacht Club. He enjoyed fishing, caring for and riding his horses, playing with his dogs and watching the Washington "Redskins".

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Greene Lewis and his father, Norman Norris Lewis, Senior. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and caring mother, Ruth Davis Lewis. He leaves behind three siblings: Judith Lewis Honeycutt, Ronald Judson Lewis, and Terri Lewis Tallman; three children: Wade Norris Lewis, Kelly Lewis Catlett, and Bunny Lewis Grafton. He also leaves a strong legacy with nine grandchildren: Brian Matthew Catlett, Casey Lynn Gardner, Jessica Holli-lane Catlett, Michael Burwell Catlett, Ginny Carroll Grafton, Cari Elizabeth Barrett Grafton, Savanna Nicole Lewis, Juliane Leigh Faulk, and Kelsey Augustine Anderson as well as nine great-grandchildren, Adrienna Elizabeth Harvey, Alaina Rose Harvey, Carson Michael Catlett, Olivia Jane Catlett, Adalynn Skye Harvey, Hailey Jean Catlett, Wrenleigh Mae Faulk, Brier Matthew Grey Faulk and expecting Marcellus Anderson whom he so dearly loved and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Storke Funeral Home, 131 3rd Street in Colonial Beach with interment to follow at Historyland Memorial Park, 11227 James Madison Pkwy in King George. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Colonial Beach Fire and Rescue Department.
