Marguerite S. Eckard, 88, of King George County, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at her home. She was born Tuesday, June 17, 1930 to William Franklin Stevens and Mary Emma Pritchett Stevens. Marguerite graduated from King George County High School in 1947. She retired from the Virginia Department of Health after over 30 years, and was a member of the King George Women's Club and Two Rivers Baptist Church.
Marguerite is survived by her daughters, Sandra Cifelli, Theresa Mason (Roy), Belinda Staples (William); grandchildren, Kim Wasosky (Bill), Justin Mason (fiancé Katelyn), Whitney Staples; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J. C. Eckard and her siblings; Nene Burrell, Nona Spearance, Barbara Stevens, and Lois Dawson.
A private family graveside will be held at Historyland Memorial Park in King George at a later date.
Marguerite's family would like to say "Thank You" to her caregivers, Tina and Jessica.
