Lucy Beazley Vaughan, 87, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2018, surrounded by her family. Born January 1, 1931 in Richmond, Virginia, she is predeceased by her parents, Frank B. Beazley and Kate Beazley Thomas of Bowling Green, Virginia, and her late husband of 65 years, William Boyd Vaughan of Alexandria, Virginia.
Lucy was a beloved wife, dedicated mother and homemaker and a loving and giving person to all she met. She devoted her life to her family and to caring for others. She loved her Bible, her church, her garden and her Redskins. Lucy is survived by her children, Katherine (Bruce) Schroeder, William (Jan) Vaughan, Frank Vaughan and Ann (Jeff) Vaughan Abramson, Grandchildren, Sarah Abramson Shriner, Michael Vaughan, Lucy Abramson and Anna Vaughan, Great Grandchildren; William Shriner and Fiona Shriner.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Virginia, followed by Internment at Greenlawn Cemetery, Bowling Green, Virginia.
