Lillian Pitts Pugh Pavy, 92, of Milford died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016. Born in Kidds Fork, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Annie Taylor Pitts and had retired after 33 years from Virginia Employment Commission. She was the widow of George W. Pugh and John R. Pavy. Lillian was a lifelong member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include her two children, Debra Pugh and George David "Bubba" Pugh; three sisters, Mabel Weymouth, Ellen Carter, and Ruth Pitts; a brother, Robert "Dick" Pitts. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Marion Kelley, Margaret Watts, Esther Beazley, Annie Owen, Nellie Hartman and Betty Pitts and five brothers, Edward Pitts, William Russell Pitts, Thomas Lee Pitts, Harry Franklin Pitts, and Baby Pitts.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Shumansville with Rev. Wes Mason and Rev. Rob Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday, Dec. 2 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green.
