Kenneth Douglas Boggs, 65 of Mechanicsville, formerly of King George, lost his earthly life December 11, 2017. Kenny was born Sept. 5, 1952 in Covington to Mary E. and Lee M. Boggs.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Shaver Boggs; his son, Kyle, whom he loved very much; his beloved sister, Penny Staples of Fredericksburg; his beloved brother, Mike and wife Pam of Aylett; his "buds", Phillip and Kim Hutcheson, Kevin and Linda Shaver and their children and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his extended King George family whom he loved and has treasured years of faithful friendships.

We will forever be grateful for the blessing of his life and rest in our faith knowing he has gained eternal life and is in the arms of the Father. Kenny never met a stranger and if he did not know you, he made sure he knew you before the conversation was over. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved the ride and lived life to the fullest every day.

A memorial service will be Friday, December 15th at 11:00AM in First Baptist Church, 800 Thompson Street, Ashland, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the church, one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in Thompson Hall at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Catch a Dream Foundation, Attn: Dr. Marty Brunson, 2485 Ennis Road, Starkville, MS 39759, St. Jude's Research for childhood cancer, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or First Baptist Church in Ashland, 800 Thompson St, Ashland, VA 23005.
