John H. Peck, 80 of Woodford passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Mary Washington Hospital. Born in Giles County, he was named after his great grandfather, Capt. John H. Peck of Co. E 21st Regiment, Lynchburg. He was an active member of Round Oak Baptist Church, where he had served as Trustee, Deacon and Sunday school teacher. John also sang in the choir and was on several committees of the church. He was a life member of the Bowling Green Vol. Rescue Squad and had served on the Caroline County School Board for eight years. John had retired after 31 years of service at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Peck; his son, Eddie Peck (Tammy); 11 grandchildren and 17 1/2 great grandchildren. His parents, James and Kathleen Peck, his son, Gary Wayne Peck and his brother, James Newton Peck preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Saturday, April 28th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 29th at 2:00 pm in Round Oak Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Round Oak Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be left for the family at
