Jean Elsie Romanek, 85 of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Mary Washington Hospital shortly after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. She was born in East Ham, London, England and moved to the US in 1960. She became a US citizen in 2008.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn Romanek; three children, Kimberly Lewis, Sean Alan and Neal Romanek (Janet Walker); her sister, Maureen Smith (Eugene); her brother, Robert Crampton; six grandchildren, Alex Lewis (Kerry), Sarah Paton (Tim), Avery Lewis, Connor Lewis, Cara Lewis and Vivian Romanek.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM in St. George's Episcopal Church, Fredericksburg. Burial, in Arlington National Cemetery, will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to knitting charity From The Heart (http://fromtheheartstitchers.org).
