James Carlton Hudson, 89, of Colonial Beach, passed away November 7, 2017. He was born September 19, 1928 to the late Charlie Carlton Hudson and Pearl Clift Hudson. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard during the Korean Conflict, was a founding member of the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad, a member of Colonial Beach Fire Department and Colonial Beach Baptist Church.

Mr. Hudson is survived by a brother, Paul E. Hudson (Jean), sister-in-law, Lois Hudson, nieces and nephews, Lisa Boyer, Michael Hudson, David Hudson, Stephen Hudson, Clifford Hudson, Jr., and Tammy Kinch, great nieces and nephews, Shawn Hudson, Victoria Hudson, Elliott Boyer, Joshua Boyer, Davis Hudson, McKinley Hudson, Kacey Hudson, Kylee Hudson, Aiden Hudson, Kyle Kinch, and Cory Kinch. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Annie Laura Hudson, and a brother, Clifford Hudson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Colonial Beach Chapel of Storke Funeral Home, 131 3rd St., Colonial Beach, VA. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Colonial Beach Baptist Church with burial to follow at the Hudson Family Cemetery in King George.
