Hobert Monroe Southall passed peacefully at his home on October 26, 2018 in King George, Va at the age of 79.

Mr. Southall is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda McLean Southall, and his sister Rebecca Horton; his children Rodney, Gary (Paula), Brion (Mary), and Lesa Randall (Chad); and his grandchildren Robert, Colton, Lonnie (Melissa), and Amy Southall, Jillian Jackson (Zach), Travis Quattlebaum, and Garrett and Bryce Randall.

Mr. Southall was born on November 4, 1938 in Appomattox, Va to his parents, Gordon and Blanche Southall. He married Linda McLean on March 9, 1958. He was a member of the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1962. Mr. Southall worked for the Dahlgren Naval Base until he retired in 1993. He was also a member of the Colonel Fielding Lewis Chapter of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Hobert loved bluegrass music, friends, family, and farming the land.

A visitation is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Storke Funeral Home King George Chapel on Saturday, November 3rd with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Hobert's life. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the National Kidney Foundation or to the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center.
