Harry Lewis Hicks, 57, of Colonial Beach passed away Friday, September 22, 2017. He was born in Alexandria, VA Friday, August 26, 1960 to the late Edna "Jackie" Hicks and Charles "Buddy" Hicks. Harry was a member of the American Legion Post 148 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 4315 both in Colonial Beach.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Marie Hicks, and two sisters, Mary Lou Savage and Charlotte Samuels. He is survived by his son, Ian Hicks, granddaughter Lillian Hicks, siblings, Eugene Sullivan, Charles Hicks, Jr. (Nancy), Debra Lacey (James), Pamela Leckner (Ben) and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Storke Funeral Home, 131 3rd Street, Colonial Beach, VA with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A reception followed at the American Legion Post 148, 27 Colonial Ave., Colonial Beach, VA 22443. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Colonial Beach Rescue Squad and/or Colonial Beach Fire Department. Condolences may be left for the family at
