Gregory Scott Layne, 56, of Mechanicsville died Sunday, June 10, 2018. He worked as an operation specialist at Wells Fargo Bank. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lyrae Patton Layne; his beloved parents, Jack and Brenda Layne. He was a loving father to Justen and Zachary Layne and his grandchildren who he loved very much, Kyzer and Meadow Layne; step-grandchild, Raleigh O'Keefe; brother, Brian Layne and sister, Jackie Layne. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and a person who made everyone around him laugh. A Celebration of Life will be held 12 noon Sat. June 23, 2018 at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church, 7356 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green is handling the arrangements.,
