George Lewko Jr., 90, of Colonial Beach, passed away September 24, 2018. He was born March 6, 1928 in Bayonne, New Jersey to George Sr. and Anna Lewko. George Jr. was a World War II veteran and served in the Merchant Marines as well as the Navy and Army. He was a diehard Redskins fan and an Orioles fan.
He is survived by his sons, George M. Lewko, William R. Lewko, and Stephen G. Lewko; his daughter Brenda S. Cahill; his sister, Barbara Ornestein; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Lewko and his parents, George Lewko Sr. and Anna Lewko.
A memorial service will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Colonial Beach on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation. Condolences may be left for the family at www.storkefuneralhome.com.
