Douglas J. Cannon, 63 of Milford, Virginia passed away Monday, February 5, 2018.

Douglas worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator. His passion for being a heavy equipment operator began at Martin Marietta, Doswell Quarry. He carried his passion through his life to Corman Construction, where he worked alongside his son, Shawn, until he retired in March 2017.

Douglas enjoyed gardening, fishing, drag racing, restoring vehicles, spending time with family, and hanging out in the garage socializing with his many friends.

Douglas is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Janice B. Cannon; his daughter, Shannon Brooks (Brian); son, Shawn Cannon (Whitney); grandchildren, Faith, Brian Jr., A.J., Brayden and Jamison; siblings, Clyde Cannon and Mildred Davis.

A memorial service will be held Monday, February 12th at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

He will be missed and forever in our hearts.
