Daniel Fitzhugh (Dan) Cobb passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018, in Roanoke, Va.
He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Roanoke. Dan was predeceased by his mother, Alice Ashton Barrows Cobb.
He is survived by his father, Raymond G. Cobb; a son, Michael Christopher Cobb; and a daughter, Christine Ashton Cobb; along with many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Dan graduated from Riverview School in Massachusetts and attended Ferrum College and Virginia Western Community College. He was known as a friendly and liked fellow by his friends. Dan was always trying to be helpful and telling silly jokes. He will be remembered and missed by all.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening, March 7, 2018, at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Avenue in Roanoke. A Graveside Service is being planned for 11 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Dahlgren, King George County, Va., with Padre Lee Gandiya officiating.
