Constance Virginia Davis, 90, of King George County passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018. She was born Thursday, December 22, 1927 to the late Gorman and Sally Lowe. Mrs. Davis read her Bible everyday and was a longtime member of Hanover Baptist Church in King George. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid crotchetier and knitter and made an entry in her journal daily.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Pamela Hoernig (Timothy), Linda Moten, Barbara Mays (Fred), Donna Blanchard (Carlton), and Robert Saunders (Donna); step-children, Pat Johnson (Robert), Pam Davis (Angelo), Bob Davis (Joan), Janice Magor (John), Rick Davis; sister, Lucille Hurst (Noel); 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph L. Davis; a son Frederick Eugene Ives, Jr.; granddaughter, Michelle Mays; and 2 sisters, Margaret and Elsie.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Storke Funeral Home, Nash and Slaw Chapel, 11089 James Madison Pkwy, King George, VA 22485, where a visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172. Rev. Rick Crookshank will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hanover Baptist Church, 10312 Hanover Church Rd, King George, VA 22485 and/or Riverside Tappahannock Hospice, 289 Hospital Rd., Tappahannock, VA 22560.
