"Champ" Charles Sherwood Carter, Sr, 78. If you asked him, men wanted to be like him and women wanted to be with him. Champ died on July 7, 2018. He loved deer hunting, pond fishing, lemon cakes, apple pie, beautiful women, Canadian Mist and Natural Light, not necessarily in that order. He hated fly catchers and Billy Cook, not necessarily in that order. Papa joins his brothers, Jr. Milton and Lewis Carter. Loved ones that will miss him dearly; his wife, Elsie Carter; siblings, W. D. Carter, Janice Hockaday, Delores Burns and Vernel; Martin; children, Champ and Diane Carter, Bobby and Dreama Cook, and Helen Irving. He holds a special place in the hearts of his granddaughters that cared for him, Tiffany and Matt Morris and Ashleigh and Robert Stanley and his great grandchildren, Anyjhia, Kyrah, Camdon, Chloe, Autumn, Maddox, Carter and Charly. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Laura Beth Grymes, Jessica Lynn Irving, Bobbi-Sue Snead, Jessica Dawn Rogers, Travis and Kyle Cook. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 pm Mon. July 16, 2018 at the funeral home.
