Caitlin Rose Merryman, 28, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018. She was born June 30, 1989 in Opelika, Alabama to Stephen A. Merryman and Laura Rose Merryman. Caitlin was a talented Project Manager who began her career as a stage manager and graduated with honors from Virginia Tech in 2011. After graduation, she became a Disney Imagineer and spearheaded several key projects before transitioning to Carnival's team where she was currently a Project Manager for Carnival Cruises. She loved reading, writing, art, and painting.

Caitlin is survived by her parents and her 3 younger siblings, Caroline, Stephanie, and Gareth Merryman; her maternal grandparents, Frank and Carolyn Rose and paternal grandfather, Robert Merryman; her aunt, Lisa Rose and uncles, Dennis, Alan, and Doug Merryman and their families. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Irma Merryman and Godparents, Christopher and Patricia Hontgas.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Storke Funeral Home, Nash and Slaw Chapel, 11089 James Madison Pkwy. King George, VA 22485 with a reception to follow at the family home in King George. Caitlin believed that you should surround yourself with joy, so the family asks that if you attend the reception, you wear something that brings you joy and happiness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Caitlin's name may be made to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) at or to the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) at
