Virginia Garrett Crisp, 92, passed from her earthly home September 21, 2011. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to unknown numbers of folks. Even though she will be missed, we know she was greeted with open arms in heaven by her Lord and by those who have gone before. She was preceded in death my her husband of 55 years, John Ralph Crisp, her parents, Eddie J. and Cora S. Garrett and her sons-in-love, Vernon D. Lucy III and Emmett C. Farmer.
She is survived by her children, Dorothy Busic (Dudley), Dale Lucy, Marie Farmer and Eugene Crisp (Jackie); seven grandchildren, Steve Busic (Helen), Dana Lucy Egan (Kevin), Chris Lucy (Nancy), Anna Farmer Harmon (Robert), Susan Busic Webb (John), Matthew Crisp (Kelly) and Amanda Crisp Marley (Trae); ten great-grandchildren, Brendon Busic, Caroline Egan, Katharine Egan, Conan Busic, Thomas Lucy, Reilly Egan, Lauren Lucy, Mackenzie Webb, Garrett Webb and Joshua Harmon.
She was a longtime member of County Line Baptist Church. Though she was homebound and by nature a quiet person, she was diligent in sending cards of encouragement and celebrations and faithful in prayer for others.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Friday, September 23, 2011 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday September 24, 2011 at County Line Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, with Dr. Fred Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fellowship will follow funeral services in the Family Life Center at the church. Pallbearers will be Steve Busic, Chris Lucy, Matthew Crisp, Kevin Egan, Robert Harmon II, John Webb, Trae Marley and John Ray Crisp.
